Staff Changes | Thank You Lara!

The Ministry Centre staff are joyfully sad to say goodbye to our co-worker and friend, Lara McAllister. Lara has decided it is time to move on to the next chapter in her life, effective the beginning of October. While not entirely certain of where this journey will end, Lara is looking forward to more time at home with the family, gardening, writing, and hopefully some new adventures.

As a staff team, we are joyful because we truly love Lara and have deeply valued working with her. We join with her in looking ahead, trusting God for the new direction he has for her.  

Obviously, we are also sad. If you have had the privilege of encountering Lara then you know she is a vibrant, smart, and loyal person. She has been our leader in developing the Birkman Assessment as a primary tool for team development within our family of churches. Lara has also been instrumental in the development of our Discipleship Framework and Coaching ministries.

More significantly, Lara has the rare gift of bringing increased joy to others as she works alongside them. Her love for Jesus, the church, and people will be sorely missed. We will also miss her wondrous capacity to mime, impersonate MC Hammer, and call out “Good morning, Fellowship family” as she walks in the door.

When you see her around in our Fellowship churches, be sure to go up to her and say “thank-you.” She is also strongly in favour of hugs.
